Deanna Kelly

Dr. Deanna Kelly is Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Treatment Research Program at Maryland Psychiatric Research Center, University of Maryland School of Medicine. She holds affiliate appointments in Pharmacy Practice and serves as clozapine expert for APA's SMI Adviser initiative.

Her NIH-funded research examines pharmacological interventions for schizophrenia, particularly clozapine optimization, inflammation biomarkers, and gluten-autoimmune interactions. Clinical trials investigate minocycline adjunct therapy and dietary interventions.

Honors include the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation's Maltz Prize (2017) and NIMH MERIT award. She has authored 19 books including pharmacotherapy guidelines and published over 220 peer-reviewed articles on psychopharmacology.
