Dr. Deanna Denault serves as the Interim Department Chair, Associate Program Director, and Associate Chair in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at the MGH Institute of Health Professions since May 2024. With a strong background in PA education, she has held academic roles at Clarkson University and Franklin Pierce University, including Director of Didactic Education, and has taught pharmacology, cadaveric anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. Her research focuses on medical education, interprofessional simulation, and clinical assessment.

Dr. Denault is actively involved in the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA), where she has presented on admissions practices, clinical assessment tools (PA-CAT, PACKRAT), and predictive metrics for student success. Her scholarly work spans topics from oxygen transport physiology to molecular endocrinology and patient safety training.
While her recent publications focus on clinical physiology and safety protocols, her earlier work delved into aldosterone regulation of sodium channels and circadian rhythm genetics. She has contributed to academic journals, clinical textbooks, and educational presentations.
Dr. Denault remains a key figure in advancing medical education through interprofessional simulations and standardized assessment frameworks.
