Dean L. Winslow is a Professor of Medicine at Stanford University, with appointments in the Divisions of Hospital Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He also holds a courtesy appointment as a Senior Fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. Throughout his career, he has balanced clinical practice, academic leadership, and military service.
His research focuses on Infectious Diseases, particularly HIV/AIDS and sepsis, alongside Public Health initiatives. He has contributed to Clinical Trials and Regulatory Affairs, including work on FDA approvals for HIV treatments. His expertise extends to Aerospace Medicine and Military Medicine, informed by his Air National Guard service.
