Dayday Robinson is an Assistant Professor of Theatre Education in the Department of Theatre at Arkansas State University, within the College of Liberal Arts and Communication. She is actively engaged in teaching, research, and community-based theatre work, with a strong interdisciplinary focus bridging theatre, sociology, psychology, and disability studies.
Her educational background includes a Master of Fine Arts in Performance and Pedagogy from Texas Tech University, a Master of Arts in Theatre: Directing from Miami University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Penn State University.
Her research and artistic interests center on transforming representation in American theatre, particularly through reparative mirroring of BIPOC identities, disability inclusion, and theatre as a tool for social change. She specializes in African American female playwrights, devised theatre, and drama therapy, often working with at-risk youth and individuals with disabilities.
Dayday has been recognized with awards for excellence in directing from KC/ACTF and for playwriting from the Humanities Conferences in Texas. In 2020, she was selected as a Directing Fellow at Arena Stage in Washington, DC, a nationally competitive fellowship.

She actively contributes to the academic and artistic community by adjudicating student theatre productions at local and national festivals. While no formal advising or grant information is listed, her extensive workshop leadership and national engagement suggest a strong commitment to mentorship and outreach. She does not appear to lead a formal lab or research team, but her community-based projects serve as de facto collaborative ensembles focused on inclusive performance practices.
