Valerie Flower is a Professor and Chair of the Theatre Department at Eastern University's College of Arts and Humanities. She holds an MA in Directing and Dramaturgy from Miami University of Ohio and a Ph.D. in Theatre History, Literature, and Criticism from Tufts University.
Her research and artistic practice focus on arts and transformation, medical humanities, and theatre activism. She has contributed to interdisciplinary initiatives like the Medical Arts and Humanities Program at The Hershey Penn State School of Medicine and the Grand Rounds Readers Theatre Project on medical ethics.
