Dr. Dawn Keig is a Professor in the Department of Economics and Business at Whitworth University since 2014. Prior to academia, she spent 30 years in the private sector, holding senior management roles in high-tech industries and founding an international management consulting practice serving Fortune 500 firms. She holds a D.B.A. from Kennesaw State University, M.B.A. from Creighton University, and B.B.A. from St. Mary's College.
Her research focuses on strategic management, international business, institutional environments of multinational enterprises (MNEs), corporate social responsibility, project management, and consulting strategies. Recent work examines corruption impacts on MNE performance and innovative metrics like RIMS for measuring firm internationalization.
Dr. Keig has received numerous accolades including Whitworth's Outstanding MBA Faculty Award (2022), multiple Best Paper Awards from the Academy of International Business, and recognition as a Most Influential Professor. She serves on editorial boards and reviews for top journals like the Journal of International Management.
Her teaching spans courses like Business Strategy Capstone, Strategic Management (MBA/MBL), Project Management, Gender Issues in Leadership, and Principles of International Business. Her pedagogical innovations include feminist approaches to management education and collaborative learning models.
