معرفی
Davide Seruggia is an Adjunct Professor at CeMM Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and Principal Investigator at St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute (CCRI), Vienna, Austria. His career spans institutions including Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and the National Center for Biotechnology (CNB-CSIC), Madrid.
Dr. Seruggia obtained his PhD in Molecular Biology from CNB-CSIC (2014) and specialized in chromatin biology, genome editing, and pediatric leukemia during postdoctoral work at Boston Children’s Hospital (2015–2021). He was promoted to Instructor in Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School (2019) and secured an ERC Starting Grant (2020) to launch his independent group.
Research Focus
His laboratory investigates:
- Non-coding regulatory sequences (enhancers, insulators) in pediatric leukemia
- 3D genome architecture and drug resistance mechanisms
- TFIID/SAGA chromatin complex roles in MYC-driven cancers
- CRISPR-based functional genomics and computational biology approaches
- Translational implications for targeted therapies in hematologic malignancies
Recent Publications
Dr. Seruggia’s work on enhancer dependence in gene regulation (2020), SAGA complex vulnerabilities in leukemia (2025), and HDAC1 roles in immune-oncology (2025) highlights his expertise in cross-disciplinary cancer research. His CRISPR-CLEAR methodology (2024) enables high-resolution mapping of regulatory elements.
