Davide Ravasi is a Professor and Director at the UCL School of Management. Previously, he held professorships at Cass Business School (London) and Bocconi University (Milan), where he also earned his PhD in Business Administration. He has been a Distinguished Visiting Professor at Aalto School of Business and has held visiting roles at Rotterdam School of Management, Copenhagen Business School, and others.
His research focuses on organizational identity, culture, and strategy in change contexts, design’s role in innovation, and the strategic use of history/memory. Key projects include examining corporate museums’ influence on innovation and exploring craftsmanship’s role in modern organizations. He co-edits the Oxford Handbook of Organizational Identity and serves on editorial boards of top journals like Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Management Studies.
Ravasi’s work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing visual tools in qualitative research and the interplay between symbolic resources and strategic decision-making. His recent studies investigate social media’s impact on organizational reputation and the cultural strategies of global firms.
