Davide Luca

Dr Davide Luca is an Associate Professor of Economic Geography at the Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge, and a Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics (LSE) International Inequalities Institute. He previously held roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School and worked for the European Commission. He holds a PhD in Economic Geography from LSE.

His research focuses on territorial inequality, place-based public policy evaluation, and the socio-political consequences of spatial disparities. He explores how regional and urban-rural divides influence individual attitudes and policy outcomes. His work has been cited by major media outlets like the New York Times and Le Monde.

Dr Luca is affiliated with Fitzwilliam College (Cambridge), the Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance, and the Omero Centre for Urban Research. He teaches Regional Economics and Policy and Place-based Policy at Cambridge.
