Research focuses on Greek and Latin literature with a critical lens on decolonizing Classics in Africa. Key themes include Euripides’ Bacchae, Ovid’s Metamorphoses, and postcolonial reinterpretations of classical texts. His work interrogates colonial legacies in Classics curricula and advocates for inclusive, Southern-centric methodologies.
Publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches: recent articles (2022) examine decolonial frameworks for African Classics, while earlier works analyze divine agency in Greek drama and Ovid’s engagement with ancient philosophy. His 2016 study on Binding Dionysus redefines tragic character dynamics.
Recipient of the Swiss Federal Scholarship (2013), his awards reflect recognition of innovative research in classical studies. Teaching and advising focus on bridging ancient texts with contemporary social issues, though no specific advisee名单 are listed here. Active in Emory’s Department of Classics, his office is 222E Candler Library.
