معرفی
Dr. David Wilson is a Lecturer & NERC Independent Research Fellow at UCL Earth Sciences, specializing in isotope geochemistry and paleoclimatology. His work focuses on Earth's carbon cycle, climate system dynamics, and interactions between ocean circulation, weathering, and ice sheets. He holds positions in the London Geochemistry and Isotope Centre and Past Climate Change research groups, and participates in the Geochemistry Group steering committee to support early-career researchers.
Research interests include Pleistocene/Holocene climate dynamics, Cenozoic/Paleozoic studies, and isotope tracer applications across archives like ocean sediments and speleothems. His methodologies involve radiogenic (Pb, Nd, Sr), stable (C, O), and non-traditional (Li) isotopes to unravel weathering patterns and ice sheet behavior. Recent work explores Southern Ocean circulation variability, Antarctic ice dynamics, and lithium isotope responses to environmental changes.
Publications highlight advancements in lithium isotope applications, Devonian afforestation impacts, and Ordovician climate modulation. He advocates for interdisciplinary collaborations and doctoral research in these fields. Awards include the prestigious NERC Independent Research Fellowship.
Labs/Teams: Active in the London Geochemistry and Isotope Centre and Past Climate Change group. Engages in skills training initiatives through the Geochemistry Group (Mineralogical Society/Geological Society).
