David Westerfeld is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stony Brook University. He is affiliated with the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences and holds office at 247 Light Engineering. His research focuses on the design and characterization of high-performance mid-infrared semiconductor light sources, including LEDs and lasers.
