معرفی
David W. Beilman is a Professor and Department Chair in the Department of Geography at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa since 2009. His research focuses on terrestrial ecosystem responses to global change, with a particular emphasis on carbon cycle dynamics (including 13C and 14C isotope analysis) across diverse environments such as Kamchatka, the Canadian Arctic, the Antarctic Peninsula, and Hawaiʻi.
Education
- Postdoctoral: Queen’s University Belfast (2007-2008)
- Postdoctoral: University of California Los Angeles (2006-2007)
- PhD in Geography, University of California Los Angeles (2006)
- MSc in Environmental Biology & Ecology, University of Alberta (2001)
- BSc in Environmental Biology, University of Alberta (1996)
Research Interests
The Beilman Lab integrates field and laboratory investigations to study long-term terrestrial ecosystem dynamics, particularly carbon stocks and fluxes in the context of climate change. The lab’s work bridges biogeography, paleoecology, and isotope geochemistry to address global environmental challenges.
