David Torres, a Middlebury alumnus (class of '84), is a Professor of the Practice of Social Entrepreneurship and Global Health at Middlebury College since 2019. He holds roles in the Innovation Hub team, as a MiddMentor, and Posse Faculty Mentor. Prior to academia, he had a 22-year finance career at JPMorgan Chase across Latin America, the US, and Europe. In 2006, he transitioned to social enterprise, joining mothers2mothers (m2m) in South Africa, where he held senior roles driving business development, fundraising, and scaling programs to ten countries, employing over 10,000 women as Community Health Workers.
