David Strohl is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Colby College. His research focuses on the Shi‘a Ismaili Khoja community in Mumbai, exploring themes of cultural identity, religious practice, and urban communal dynamics. He has authored the book *A Respect for Difference: The Shi‘a Ismaili Khojas of Mumbai*, which examines the interplay between religious traditions and modern urban life.
