Dr. David Rodrigues is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine at Queen’s University. He also serves as the Program Director for the Gastroenterology Residency Training Program. His clinical and academic interests focus on gastrointestinal motility disorders (e.g., achalasia, gastroparesis), disorders of gut-brain interaction (e.g., functional dyspepsia, IBS), and medical education.
Education includes medical school and internal medicine residency at the University of Toronto, followed by gastroenterology training at Queen’s University. He completed an advanced fellowship in neurogastroenterology and motility at the University of Toronto, and holds a Master of Science in gastrointestinal physiology (Queen’s University) and a Master of Health Science Education (McMaster University).
His recent research publications span materials science topics such as corrosion mechanisms in stainless steels, hydrogen embrittlement in titanium alloys, and microstructural analysis of shape memory alloys.
