David Richard Shope is a Research Fellow in High Energy Physics at the University of Oslo (UiO), part of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. His current research focuses on the Standard Model Higgs sector using ATLAS experiment data from CERN, alongside addressing complex dataflow challenges in detector-to-analysis workflows and related software development. He has held postdoctoral positions at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (2020-2022) and the University of Oslo (2022-present).
Education: BS in Physics from Trinity University (2007-2011), PhD from University of Oklahoma (2012-2019). Teaching includes FYS3150 - Computational Physics.
Research interests emphasize experimental particle physics, LHC collaborations, and computational methodologies in high-energy physics analysis.
