معرفی
Prof. Hubert Kroha is a Professor of Experimental Elementary Particle Physics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), affiliated with the TUM School of Natural Sciences. His research focuses on high-energy accelerator experiments, particularly investigations of the Higgs boson properties and searches for new particles using the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). He leads the development of advanced muon detectors for ATLAS and contributed to the historic 2012 Higgs boson discovery.
Education: Kroha studied physics and earned his doctorate at TUM. He conducted research at DESY and Cornell University, and held leadership roles in the ATLAS detector development at CERN and the Max Planck Institute for Physics. His career includes habilitation at TUM (1997) and project leadership for the ATLAS detector at the LHC since 1992.
Research Interests: Experimental particle physics at high-energy colliders, detector technology innovation, and precision measurements in Higgs boson physics. His work bridges theoretical predictions with experimental validation in fundamental physics.
Collaborations: Active contributor to the ATLAS Collaboration, with leadership in detector development and data analysis. His projects aim to enhance LHC instrumentation capabilities for future discoveries.
