A/Prof David Pook is an Associate Professor and Medical Oncologist at Monash University, affiliated with the School of Clinical Sciences and the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology. His work focuses on clinical and translational research in prostate cancer, particularly the development of novel therapies for genitourinary malignancies. He leads the Prostate Cancer Research Program and holds an external position as a Medical Oncologist at Monash Health since 2010.

Research Interests:
Dr. Pook’s research emphasizes identifying and testing novel therapeutic agents for genitourinary cancers, including prostate cancer. His work spans radiopharmaceuticals (e.g., Lu-PSMA), immunotherapies (e.g., checkpoint inhibitors), and combination therapies. He also explores cardiovascular risks associated with androgen deprivation therapy and long-term outcomes in metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer.
