David Planes Muñoz

David Planes Muñoz is an Adjunct Professor (part-time) at the Department of Food Technology, Nutrition and Bromatology in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Murcia. His research focuses on nutrition science and food innovation, particularly leveraging Mediterranean Diet components to address overweight and obesity challenges.

He earned his Doctorate from the University of Murcia in 2021 with a thesis titled Innovations in satiety based on foods and ingredients of the Mediterranean Diet to regulate overweight and obesity, supervised by Dr. Gaspar Francisco Ros Berruezo and Dr. María del Carmen Frontela Saseta.

His work emphasizes translational research in food science and nutritional strategies for public health improvement.
