Dr. David Parisian is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Curriculum and Instruction Department at SUNY Oswego. He holds a Ph.D. in Education Curriculum and Instruction (Union Institute, 1997), a CAS in Educational Leadership (SUNY Oswego, 2003), and prior degrees in Education Computer Technology and Natural Sciences. His professional background includes secondary science teaching, district administration, and adjunct roles at SUNY Oswego from 1997-2012.
Dr. Parisian's research focuses on applying cognitive science to support college student transitions, resiliency development, and psychophysiological coherence between heart-brain interactions. He teaches interdisciplinary methods and educational technologies, supervises practicum students, and leads faculty professional development.
