David P. Redlawsk is the James R. Soles Professor and Chair of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Delaware’s College of Arts and Sciences. An award-winning scholar, he is renowned for his research on political psychology, voter decision-making, and the role of emotions in politics.

Research Interests:
Redlawsk’s research focuses on how voters process political information, the impact of emotions and moral values on political choices, and the dynamics of campaigns and elections. He has extensively studied negative campaigning, the Iowa caucuses, and the psychological mechanisms underlying motivated reasoning and political tolerance.
