Amy Funck is a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. Her expertise lies in political psychology, focusing on emotions, attachment theory, and cognitive processes influencing decision-making. She has contributed to public opinion polling through roles at Edison Research (National Election Pool exit poll) and the Eagleton Center for Public Interest Polling. Previously, she developed AP US Government and Comparative Politics exams at ETS and teacher certification assessments.

Her research examines how values and beliefs shape pro-democratic attitudes, the impact of issue-based vs. partisan voting in down-ballot elections, methodological challenges in emotions research, and integrity in online political knowledge assessments. She teaches PPE 4600: Advanced Seminar in Political Science: How Voters Decide (Spring 2025).
