معرفی
David Marsh is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, Stockholm University, and serves as Vice Director of EuCAPT (European Consortium for AstroParticle Theory). His research focuses on testing fundamental physics in extreme astrophysical environments, including axion astrophysics, inflationary cosmology, and string compactifications. He leads the 'Quantum Frontiers' research group exploring quantum theory applications in experimental contexts.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Physics, Cornell University (2012)
- M.Sc. in Physics, Uppsala University (2007)
Research Focus: Marsh develops theoretical frameworks to identify observational signals of new physics in astronomical/cosmological data. Key areas include axion detection methods and the phenomenology of inflationary models.
Advising & Teams:
- Current advisees: Eike Müller (PhD)
- Former advisees: Theodor Björkmo (PhD, Cambridge)
- Postdocs: Joshua Eby, Oindrilla Ghosh, Pierluca Carenza
Labs/Groups: Quantum Frontiers group at Stockholm University, collaborating on quantum theory-experiment interfaces.
