David Marlett is a Professor and IIANC Distinguished Professor of Insurance in the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance at Appalachian State University's Walker College of Business, where he serves as Managing Director of the Brantley Risk and Insurance Center. With over 25 years of academic experience including prior faculty positions at Illinois Wesleyan University and Old Dominion University, he remains actively engaged in campus leadership and industry collaboration.
His educational background includes:

Dr. Marlett's research and teaching concentrate on Risk Management and Insurance domains, particularly Personal Insurance and International Insurance Markets.
