David Leicester Hardy is the Graphic Design Area Coordinator and Associate Professor of Graphic Design at James Madison University (JMU), within the School of Art, Design and Art History. His practice emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to design and technology, focusing on digital methods, hacking tools for novel uses, and extended reality. Prior to academia, he worked at MGM Resorts as a senior web designer and in ad agencies like Ogilvy's Creative Studio.

Research Interests: Hardy’s work explores digital media design, user-centered interfaces, and the intersection of traditional graphic design with emerging technologies like Extended Reality (XR). He prioritizes accessibility across disciplines, bridging gaps between diverse design practices.
