David Kaplan is Professor of Management at Saint Louis University's Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business. His research examines diversity, career development, and organizational justice with focus on LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.
He holds a PhD in Labor and Industrial Relations from University of Illinois. He chairs the Department of Management and serves as Associate Editor for Journal of Management Education.
His scholarship investigates career paths of sexual minorities, identity management in hiring, and pedagogical innovations. Recent publications analyze syllabus negotiation as collaborative learning contracts and diversity climate impacts on retention.
He founded the school's Diversity Committee and advises student HR organizations. Mediates for the Missouri Bar Fee Dispute Resolution Program.
