David Kaber is the College of Engineering Dean’s Professor and Associate Head of Research Programs at Oregon State University’s School of Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering. He previously served as Chair of the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department at the University of Florida and as Distinguished Professor at North Carolina State University. His research focuses on human-systems engineering, particularly human-automaton interaction in complex systems across domains like robotics, healthcare, and transportation. Kaber holds leadership roles in IEEE and professional societies, including editorships and fellowships.
