Dr. David K. Adams is affiliated with the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), within the Institute of Atmospheric and Climate Change Sciences. He holds a PhD in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Arizona and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. His academic training includes a BSc in Physical Geography from UC Berkeley and an MSc in Geography from the University of Arizona.
Research focuses on Atmospheric Convection, Atmospheric Thermodynamics, and GPS/GNSS Meteorology. He contributes to understanding monsoon systems, urban meteorology, and climate change impacts. Teaching includes courses like Tropical Meteorology and Atmospheric Dynamics across undergraduate and graduate programs.
He is part of the Hydrology and Meteorology Group and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams studying atmospheric aerosols, cloud-aerosol interactions, and climate modeling. His work integrates geophysical instrumentation and remote sensing techniques.
