David Jacobs is an Adjunct Professor of Management at American University's Kogod School of Business. He holds a PhD in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and an MA in US History from University of Michigan.
His research examines:
- Pragmatist approaches to business ethics
- Labor relations and collective bargaining
- Corporate power structures and lobbying
- Critical perspectives on management practices
Jacobs has published extensively in leading management journals including Academy of Management Learning and Education and Academy of Management Review, and authored several books on business-labor relations.
He served as founding Chair of the Critical Management Studies Division of the Academy of Management and was a 2007 Aspen Institute Pioneer Award Finalist.
