David Jacobs is a Researcher at the Department of International Politics and Foreign Policy at the University of Cologne. His research focuses include Development cooperation, Domestic and foreign policy of Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa, Political Philosophy, and Theories of International Relations. He has been actively involved in teaching and academic administration since July 2018, including editing the Journal of Foreign and Security Policy (Springer VS). Jacobs has taught numerous courses across semesters, such as seminars on German foreign and security policy, international relations theories, and political science research methodologies.
His academic contributions span theoretical and applied aspects of international relations, with a particular emphasis on regional political dynamics in Latin America and Africa.
