David Holt serves as the 14th Dean of Oklahoma City University School of Law since July 2023 and concurrently as Mayor of Oklahoma City. He holds a B.A. from The George Washington University and a J.D. from OCU Law (2009). His academic roles include adjunct professor at OCU Honors Program and current Professor of Law.
- Professional Background: Practiced land use law, served in U.S. House Speaker’s Office, White House Legislative Affairs, and authored 70+ enacted state laws as Oklahoma State Senator
- Public Service: Two-term Mayor (since 2018), incoming 2025-2026 President of U.S. Conference of Mayors
Research interests focus on legal reform, municipal governance, and legislative strategies. Authored two books on Oklahoma City history. Recognized with TIME's '100 Next' and JCI USA’s top honor. Serves on numerous civic boards and community organizations.
