David Flautt is an Adjunct Instructor in Criminal Justice & Legal Studies at the University of Mississippi's School of Business Administration. He teaches courses such as Business Law and the Legal Environment of Business, Principles of Real Estate, and Estate and Gift Taxation. He holds a B.A. in History from Millsaps College (1977), a J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Mississippi (1982, 1984).
His legal practice focuses on civil law, including contract matters, real estate, bankruptcy, and estate administration. He has served as a member of the Lafayette County Bar Association and the Board of Trustees for the School of Business Administration. Currently, he is Board Attorney for Communicare, a community mental health provider.
Flautt's teaching spans over three decades, emphasizing practical legal and business topics. His research interests align with his teaching and legal expertise in business law, real estate, and tax law.
