معرفی
Dr. David Dixon is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at Manchester Metropolitan University, working in the King-Regmi Research Group under Prof. Laurie King and Dr. Yagya Regmi. Based in the John Dalton Building with office hours from 8-4, he leads electrocatalyst development projects for water splitting through the Greater Manchester Electrochemical Hydrogen Cluster (GMEHC) in collaboration with industrial partners.
He holds a PhD where he pioneered research in harm reduction and illicit drug testing, developing validated analytical methods for controlled substance detection and quantification. His educational background includes advanced training in analytical chemistry and materials science.
Dr. Dixon's research spans two critical domains:
- Renewable energy systems focusing on electrocatalysis, water splitting, and Oxygen Evolution Reaction (OER) for hydrogen production
- Public health applications through analytical chemistry for illicit drug testing and harm reduction strategies
A current member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), he secures industry-funded research through GMEHC partnerships. While no formal advisees are listed in available materials, his work bridges academic research and industrial implementation in sustainable energy and forensic chemistry.
