Dr. David Di Zhang is an Associate Professor and Graduate Chair of the Master of Science in Marketing Program at the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan. He holds a Ph.D. from the Asper School of Business (University of Manitoba), an MBA from Asper, a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Winnipeg, and a B.Eng. from Zhejiang University, China.
His research focuses on marketing strategy, international marketing, and entrepreneurship, with notable contributions to social entrepreneurship and brand personality studies. He has secured grants such as a $35,000 award from the Alliance for Food and Bioproduct Innovation to study agri-business marketing strategies. He is also affiliated with the International Centre for Northern Governance and Development.
Key research areas include the synergy between business and social objectives, benchmarking Aboriginal entrepreneurship practices, and branding Saskatchewan food products. His work bridges academic research with industry impact, particularly in rural and community-focused initiatives.
