David Dawe is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. His research focuses on improving outcomes for frail and older cancer patients through clinical and administrative database analyses, particularly in lung cancer and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL).

Notable awards include the John Henson Clinical Research Professorship in Population Health (2018) and multiple CancerCare Manitoba Research and Education Awards. He holds research funding from CancerCare Manitoba Foundation and CIHR.
