David Cole is an Associate Professor of cello and head of chamber music at the Conservatory of Music, Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. A fourth-generation musician, he maintains an active career as performer and educator with international orchestral experience.

Cole's artistic focus centers on classical music performance traditions, emphasizing emotional authenticity and structural precision in cello and chamber music interpretation. His philosophy integrates historical performance practices with contemporary educational approaches, viewing music as "the voice of the universe" that soothes spirits and inspires creative expression.

With over five decades of teaching experience beginning in his teens, Cole has mentored students at Philadelphia's New School of Music, Italy's Istituzione Sinfonica D'Abruzzo, Miami's New World School of the Arts, and West Palm Beach's Dreyfoos School of the Arts. His pedagogical approach centers on the triad of "love, work and knowledge" as life's foundational wellsprings, aiming to transmit artistic knowledge across generations while fostering students' personal and professional growth.
Cole performs as principal cellist with multiple ensembles including the New Jersey Symphony, Florida Philharmonic, and Abruzzo Symphony, while maintaining chamber music collaborations developed during extensive European tours with violinist Carol Cole.
