David Jensen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arkansas, where he leads the Complex Adaptive Engineered Systems Research Laboratory (CAESR). His research focuses on modeling, simulating, and validating complex engineered systems, with applications in robotics, wind energy turbines, and additive manufacturing.

Dr. Jensen's work centers on creating robust, resilient, and adaptive systems through design theory, modeling languages, and machine learning. A secondary focus is advancing engineering education using situated cognition techniques to train systems-thinking engineers.
