David Brissette is an Assistant Professor in the Physician Associate Program at Yale School of Medicine's Department of Medicine, where he serves as Program Director and maintains ARC-PA accreditation standards. He practices clinically with the Hospitalist Service at Yale New Haven Hospital.
His research focuses on health professions education, curriculum development, and student burnout, with publications analyzing stress in interdisciplinary health professional cohorts. He co-directs the Interprofessional Longitudinal Clinical Experience (ILCE) program, integrating training for PA, medical, and nursing students.
Scientific honors include the Inspiring Yale 2016 award and a PAEA Research Institute Grant. He facilitates small-group workshops on history-taking, communication, and shared decision-making for PA and medical students.
