Blerta Green, MD, is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University School of Medicine, appointed since July 2023. She is currently completing a Rheumatology fellowship at Yale School of Medicine, having joined the program in September 2023. Her academic and clinical focus spans rheumatology, immunology, and autoimmune disorders.
Education: Earned a Bachelor’s in Immunology (University of Toronto, 2009) and Master’s in Immunology (2011). Received her MD from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (2015). Completed internal medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital (2018). Professional Experience: Served as a hospitalist at Northeast Medical Group (2018–2023) and taught medical students/residents through clinical rotations and the Interprofessional Longitudinal Clinical Experience (ILCE) program, leading bedside teaching sessions.
Research Interests: Includes the cellular/molecular basis of immune responses, autoimmune diseases (e.g., Ankylosing Spondylitis), and clinical rheumatology. Previously collaborated with Dr. Robert Inman on rheumatology projects.
