Michael Lucke

Michael Lucke, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and Program Director for the Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Rheumatology Fellowship. He leads the AHN Autoimmunity Institute clinically and serves as a clinic preceptor for rheumatology fellows, medicine residents, and medical students at Drexel. His roles include supervising the AHN Rheumatology Fellow Continuity Clinic and inpatient consultation services at West Penn Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital. His clinical focus spans autoimmune diseases, with active involvement in psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis research.

Research: As clinical lead at the AHN Autoimmunity Institute, he co-leads the Psoriatic Arthritis Care Transformation Registry and serves as Principal Investigator for two studies: a Phase 3 trial for psoriatic arthritis and a longitudinal study on ankylosing spondylitis/psoriatic arthritis. He has authored/co-authored 12 peer-reviewed publications and 22 abstracts, with invited presentations at medical grand rounds and conferences.

Awards: 2019 Research Mentor of the Year Award from AHN Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Grants & Advising: Secured grant funding for CME-accredited lectures for primary care clinicians. Supervises fellows and residents, integrating clinical care with education. Serves on review boards for Current Rheumatology Reports and Rheumatology International.

Affiliations: Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, and active member of multiple medical societies including Pennsylvania Rheumatology Society and American College of Physicians.
