David Bassuk

David Bassuk is a Professor of Theater, Transmedia, and Immersive Narrative Design at Purchase College, SUNY. He holds an MFA from Southern Methodist University and has taught at institutions including Temple University and Penn State before joining Purchase College in 2003 as Dean of Theater Arts & Film. Currently, he focuses on spatial storytelling in live and virtual environments, integrating technology to enhance audience engagement. His creative work includes immersive projects like the “Magical Mystery Tree” theme park and the UNAMI-funded “Iraqi Futures 2050” initiative addressing water scarcity through transmedia storytelling and ARGs.
