David Bailey is a Professor of Psychology and Director of Counseling Services at Maryville University, where he has taught for 15 years. He also founded and leads StarBridge Ministries, a non-profit established on 9/11/01 supporting missions for the poor.

Dr. Bailey specializes in clinical psychology integrated with theology and spirituality, authoring the textbook General Psychology with the Integration of Theology, Spirituality, and the Personal Search for Truth and Meaning (2nd edition). His work explores the intersection of psychological practice and faith-based meaning-making.
As Director of Counseling Services, he supervises interns, provides student counseling/diagnostic services, and develops university mental health programs. With over 40 years of clinical and teaching experience across graduate, undergraduate, and seminary levels, he is a Licensed Psychologist and Ordained Minister.
