David Adelman

David Adelman is an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s College of Arts and Science, where he teaches Asia-Pacific International Relations. A seasoned diplomat and international relations expert, he previously served as the 15th U.S. Ambassador to Singapore (2013) and led diplomatic missions across Southeast Asia. He negotiated key agreements, including Singapore’s accession to the Hague Convention and U.S. military deployments in Singapore. His career spans roles as Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, Georgia State Senator, and advisor to private equity firms. He is affiliated with the Council on Foreign Relations and serves as a Trustee of the National Committee on American Foreign Policy.
