David A. Vermeersch

David A. Vermeersch, PhD, is Chair of the Department of Psychology and Professor of Psychology at Loma Linda University. He holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Brigham Young University (1998) and is a Certified Level I Trainer in the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM). His expertise focuses on psychotherapy outcomes, quality management, and feedback mechanisms. He is licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in California (CA #20684) and Utah (UT #376660-2501), and maintains memberships in the American Psychological Association (APA) and Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR). His work emphasizes improving therapeutic effectiveness through systematic outcome measurement and addressing patient deterioration risks. He leads the Loma Linda University International Behavioral Health Trauma Team since 2013.
