Daves Rossell

Daves Rossell is a Professor of Architectural History at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where he has served since 1997. He holds a Ph.D. and B.A. in Architecture and History from the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on architectural historiography, vernacular architecture, and the cultural significance of built environments, particularly in Savannah and the Lowcountry region.

His work emphasizes fieldwork, inclusivity, and collaborative projects, such as the 'Reading the City' multimedia initiative and co-authored volumes on Savannah’s architectural heritage. He has received notable awards, including the Historic American Landscape Challenge Prize (2016) and multiple Presidential Fellowships for Faculty Development.
