Dave Williams is a Senior Lecturer and Year Coordinator at the School of Art and Media, University of Brighton. He has over 22 years of higher education teaching experience, including roles at University of the Arts London (UAL), Central St. Martins, and Camberwell College of Art. His professional career includes collaborations with prominent organizations such as the BBC, Royal Shakespeare Company, Transport for London, and the National Museum of Scotland.
Research & Teaching: Williams’ work focuses on experimental approaches in illustration, blending traditional techniques like painting and printmaking with digital design. He emphasizes risk-taking and creative exploration in visual communication. His teaching philosophy encourages students to transcend conventional illustration boundaries, integrating personal interests with professional demands.
