Yadzia Williams

Yadzia Williams serves as a Senior Lecturer in Art and Design at Glyndwr University, bringing over four decades of dedicated teaching experience in Illustration. Her artistic practice as an Illustrator and Image Maker is profoundly shaped by her Polish cultural heritage, with Printmaking forming the cornerstone of her creative methodology.

Her academic foundation was established through Visual Communication studies at Canterbury College of Art, specializing in Illustration and Illustration for Children’s Publishing. This educational background has directly informed her pedagogical approach and artistic development throughout her career.

Williams' research and creative interests center on traditional book arts, with particular emphasis on Handmade Artists Books and Bookbinding techniques. Over the past 15 years, she has cultivated significant international collaborations with Polish Art Academies, resulting in multidisciplinary workshops, international conferences, and joint research initiatives that bridge cultural perspectives. Her work demonstrates a sustained commitment to preserving artisanal bookmaking practices while fostering cross-cultural artistic exchange through Printmaking and Illustration.
