Dashon Burton is an Assistant Professor of Voice at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music. He holds a B.Mus. from Oberlin College & Conservatory and an M.Mus. from Yale University. Renowned for his baritone performances, Burton specializes in classical repertoire such as Bach’s Passions, Handel’s *Messiah*, and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. His Grammy-winning work includes *The Prison* (2021) and *Partita for 8 Voices* (2013) with Roomful of Teeth. He performs globally with orchestras like the Chicago Symphony and Los Angeles Philharmonic, and has roles in operas such as Salome and *Die Zauberflöte*.
