Darshana Sedera

Professor Darshana Sedera is Associate Dean (International & Engagement) in the Faculty of Business, Law and Arts at Southern Cross University, Australia. Previously he served as Professor in the School of Business and Tourism at the same institution.

Education:

• PhD – Queensland University of Technology (QUT)

Research Interests:
Spanning Information Systems, Innovation, Business Intelligence, Social Media and Enterprise Systems, Professor Sedera investigates how digital technologies transform businesses and society. His recent work delves into artificial intelligence applications in banking and healthcare, sustainable supply-chain traceability, status-quo bias in technology adoption, and entrepreneurship in rural digital ecosystems.

He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications, including 27 papers accepted at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), the discipline’s premier venue. Collaborating with more than 50 international partners, his research has been supported by ARC Discovery and ARC Linkage grants.
